Solace I
16” W x 20” H
Acrylic on canvas, supported by 1 1/2” thick kiln-fired wood stretcher bars.
The process of my Solace Series is an experimentation of organic shapes starting with graphite on raw canvas, which feels smooth and free, modern but minimal.
This breakthrough series reflects feelings of having more structure in my life (structured, controlled favorite colors of black and white), living for myself (the faint graphite and how it shapes curved organic strokes), and the raw canvas (I do not want to cover up any more of myself, let it free).
